I rarely draw sketches or plans. That’s why I start making them when the idea is ripe in my head. When I don’t have to follow predefined measurements and shapes, I adapt to the material as I go along. I keep its characteristics, such as lumps and other ‘imperfections’, if the finished product allows it.
